Today we honor the memory of Mary Lacey Gilbride, a special member of PCF who passed away on September 18.
ML was a remarkable athlete, earning four varsity letters in lacrosse at the Georgetown Visitation Prep School. She was named Washington Post Player of the Year in 2007, was a first-team All-Metro choice in 2008, and was signed to play at UNC. She also excelled at CrossFit, competing in Regionals in 2013 as part of PCF’s team.
More importantly, ML was a kind, generous person who never failed to have an encouraging word for anyone she encountered at PCF and beyond. She was the kind of person who made other people want to be around her, and put a smile on the face of everyone she met. ML is survived by her parents, Scott and Anne, and her sisters, Annabelle and Lindsay.
I am grateful to have been able to call ML a close friend, workout partner, and a part of my family’s life. Thank you to everyone who pays tribute to ML today.
